Out-sourcing Engineering Science Services to Limited Companies - Expert Opinion of Attorney General (dated 03/07/1997)

 

 

  1. 1.  The Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber Law grants powers for the issuance of a licence to practise the profession in any field of engineering science only to natural persons. 
  2. Limited Companies and Unlimited Partnerships do not differ from natural persons and provided that the persons who compose them are licensed professionals, there is no impediment in assigning services thereto. If this is not the case, the services must be assigned only to the licensed partners by name.
  3. With regard to private companies limited by shares, the Law does not grant powers for issuance of licences to such companies and therefore services may not be assigned in the name of such companies.
