Mr. Costas Meletiou
COSTAS MELETIOU
Mr. Costas Meletiou obtained his Civil Engineering Degree from Imperial College in London, where he also obtained a Postgraduate Master of Science Degree in Concrete Structures and Technology.
During his career he has worked in Cyprus and overseas. Since 1990 he has his own Consultancy practice in Nicosia and has designed and supervised the construction of Building and Civil Engineering Projects. He has also acted as the Project Manager for many of these Projects.
From 2003 until 2016 Mr. Meletiou was the Government’s Advisor for the design and development of 5 new Marinas in Cyprus. Limassol Marina was completed in 2013 and the Marina at Ayia Napa is expected to finish at the end of 2019.
He was involved, amongst others, with a variety of projects, including Leisure, Educational, Industrial, Commercial and Residential. He was also the supervising Engineer for the construction of Vassiliko port and the extension of Limassol Port.
He has carried out many arbitrations for which he was appointed to act as Arbitrator by ETEK and the Court of Justice.
He is a member of ETEK, a member of the Cyprus Association of Civil Engineers and a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers of the United Kingdom.

Other Information.
In the summer of 2008, after the collapse of the Municipal Theatre roof in Nicosia, Mr. Meletiou was assigned by the Council Of Ministers the task of investigating the causes of the collapse. The investigation was carried out within 6 months and the findings were presented to the Government in February 2009.
From 2005 until 2011 Mr. Meletiou was the President of the Registration Board which deals with all Engineering Applicants who wish to be registered in Cyprus and hence have the right to work in Cyprus.
