This position is offering Part time or Full-time employment working remotely.

The working schedule is flexible, but we need at least 4 working hours Monday to Friday, after 3 pm (Cyprus time).

A+F Engineers is an award winning, well-established structural engineering firm in Washington DC, USA, and we are looking for a motivated structural engineer with a strong academic background in structural engineering and at least 10 years of experience in structural analysis and design.

We design a variety of complex structures including state of the art stadiums, airports, higher education facilities, laboratories, federal and state facilities and more. We work with renowned architects to design some of the most cutting edge, and sustainable structures that will define the next generation of buildings.

Responsibilities may include:

• Working under the supervision of the Lead Structural Engineer.
• Preparing project calculations for steel, concrete, and mass timber.
• Reviewing structural calculations and designs created by others.
• Working closely with the architects and other engineering disciplines of the design team by attending online meetings and workshops.
• Creating markups for our drafting/BIM department and coordinating structural drawings and specifications with the rest of the team.
• Reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFI’s during construction.

Qualifications:

B.Eng. in Civil / Structural Engineering (required).

M.Eng. in Civil / Structural Engineering (preferred)

10+ years of building experience (required).

Professional Engineer license/registration in EU country or USA (preferred).

Knowledge of English as a second language (required).

Design & Collaboration Tools: 

ETABS, SAP2000, RISA- Adapt, SAFE, REVIT, Mathcad,
or other CSI, SP or Trimble software.

BIM 360 and collaboration in Revit (Autodesk Construction Cloud).

Bluebeam and Bluebeam Sessions.

Salary will reflect applicants’ qualifications.
