Panayiotis Kakkouras
In 2002 he was appointed by the President of Cyprus for a 6 year incumbency as Deputy Commissioner for the Office of Electronic Communications & Postal Regulations (OCECPR). During his service as Deputy Commissioner, he was responsible for the supervision, management and representation of the Organization. He actively contributed in the successful implementation and enforcement of the necessary legal framework which aims market liberalization, the smooth implementation of competition policies in the Cyprus Electronic Communications Sector and the harmonization of the Telecom Sector with the European Aquis Communautaire.
In 2008 he returned to actively practicing law and established the Law Firm Kakkouras & Panayides LLC, which provides a wide range of legal services and legal consulting.
Since 1993 he is an active member of ETEK, for which, periodically provides legal consultation.
He is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association, a former member of the Famagusta Bar Association Board and a member of the Sport’s Committee Supreme Court from 2016 until today. In addition to, he is a former member of the Cyprus Organization for Land Development as well as a former member of the Cyprus Prison Board. He is registered as a Mediator for commercial and civil matters in the corresponding registers of the Ministry of Justice and Public Order. He is also registered in the Arbitrators and Mediators registry of the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber where he handles arbitrations that are assigned to him.
