Company invites applications for the position of Electrical and Instrumental Engineer

Title: Electrical and Instrumental Engineer

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Location: VTT Vasiliko Ltd

Key Responsibilities:
• Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and by discussing with management;
• Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors;
• Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards. Completes technical studies and prepares cost estimates;
• Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests;
• Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications and by calculating time requirements and sequencing project elements;
• Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities and resolving problems;
• Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes. Recommends actions;
• Controls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts;
• Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Recommends actions;
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations;
• Maintains project data base by writing computer programs, entering and backing up data;
• Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations;
• Furnish the 24/7 on – call organization as per the on – call schedule;
• Create and maintain company AS – BUILT documentation;
• Carries out related duties as assigned, such as, ensures the observance of safety and fire regulations, good housekeeping, and ensures material is salvaged and reconditioned wherever possible and proposes improvements;
• Reports and discusses accidents, incidents, pollution or emission occurrences and near misses with the supervisor;
• Attends HSE and toolbox meetings and submit his/her input;
• Reviews bid proposals for accuracy and scope of work alignment and make award recommendations;
• Manages the overall project;
• Monitors vendor/contractor work quality and mitigate poor performance issues;
• Makes recommendations for onboarding new vendor resources that create value for VTTV M&R;
• Provides input for upcoming preventative maintenance needs to be inserted in to the budget process;
• Assists the analysis of root cause of chronic maintenance issues at a Terminal level and makes recommendations to budget for CAPEX improvements or major expense projects;
• Follows Company rules and regulations at all times;
• Ensures that the standards required by Law, HSE and Management are maintained at all times in the areas specified above; and
• Any other duties that might consider necessary from time to time
