Overview:

Kanika Developments, a subsidiary of Kanika Group and a sister company to Kanika Hotels & Resorts, seeks to recruit a professional with extensive expertise in the field of Architecture to manage all hotel and real estate design projects. The Design and Specifications Manager will direct and oversee both the internal design team and external design consultants, aligning all design solutions and technical specifications with Kanika Group’s brand ethos and vision. The Designs and Specifications Manager will be accountable for the following main areas:

• 1. Overseeing the conceptualisation and execution of sustainable and innovative    designs, including Hotel Designs, Construction Specifications, and FFE Specifications
• 2. Managing the annual operating planning cycle within the Design Department, aligning with financial budgets and project targets
• 3. Leading the design team, external design consultants, and design projects to meet company objectives

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with key stakeholders within the Kanika Group
• Directing hotel design projects, encompassing Building Studies, Land Planning, Architecture, and more
• Ensuring that construction and hotel specifications are correct and adhere to environmental standards
• Assisting in cost estimation, including the preparation of bill-of-quantities
• Ensuring that designs are in compliance with regulations, codes, and legislation
• Managing resources and overseeing project schedules and budgets to ensure timely delivery
• Innovating sustainable design solutions and technical specifications
• Supervising the consultant selection and sourcing processes
• Administering Development and Building Permits to ensure compliance with all relevant laws
• Adhering to principles of effective land planning in new hotel and real estate designs

• Qualifications
  The ideal candidate will:
• Hold a Master’s Degree in Architecture
• Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience as a lead designer in an architectural firm
• Demonstrate vast experience in project management, including handling timetables and targets
• Be proficient in both English and Greek
• Exhibit an in-depth understanding of various engineering disciplines
• Show strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Be committed to sustainability and innovative design solutions
