JUNE 2007- NOW NCH CONSULTANCY SERVICES
Director of a Consultancy Office with main activities the design and
supervisory work for all kind of electrical and mechanical installations.

2005- 2007 MINISTRY OF COMMERCE, INDUSTRY AND TOURISM Energy Officer for the Cyprus Institute of Energy dealing with issues related to public procurement involving tender documentation and evaluation, agreements and contract overview of projects. Team Leader for the demolition works of the former Hellenic Chemical Industries Plant and the establishment of the Energy Centre at the Vasilikos area.

2004- 2005 CONSULTANT
Working as Consulting Engineer for the Joint Venture “A. LAOS – ERE” during commisioning of the “INTERCONTINENTAL” Hotel at Aphrodite Hills.

 

2001- 2004 MA-STRO (ENGINEERING) LTD. An Engineering company, part of MA-STRO Group of Companies, dealing with activities related to all aspects of Mechanical and Electrical contracts for construction and maintenance within the republic.
Contracts Manager: Senior Manager directly responsible to the Executive Chairman and responsible for the Planning and Execution of all undertaken contracts and overall control of the company’s operations

1998- 2001 CELTIC INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES LTD. (Subsidiary company of HYDER UK.) An Engineering company with activities related to all aspects of the Mechanical and Electrical services within the British bases in Cyprus and the private sector.
Operations Manager: Senior manager responsible for the planning, organisation and co-ordination of the company’s operational activities. Control of all major projects, dealing with all issues related to the company’s welfare and development.

1993- 1998 ACER (CYPRUS) LTD. (Subsidiary company of HYDER UK.) Works Services Management contract for the Ministry of Defence in Cyprus. Managing all projects and maintenance works from procurement to handover.
Services Manager (M&E), Deputy WSM: Head of the Department for both Mechanical and Electrical Services in the Eastern Sovereign Base areas. The nature of the work involved design, construction, supervision and maintenance of all M&E works.

1991-1993 “NAK Engineers”, Electrical Contractors.
Project Engineer: Responsible for the firm’s activities, which included design planning and coordination of Domestic and Industrial projects as well as a call out service for electrical breakdowns in many industrial plants.

1987-1990 “KNOSSOS” custom design Furniture, New York City.
Production Manager: Responsible for the production line and product quality, managing approximately 40 employees of different ethnic backgrounds.
Planning, preparation and implementation of the production plan.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Throughout
my career I have accumulated a great deal of experience on both electrical and mechanical works as well as management, planning and health & safety matters. I am fluent in both English and Greek and I use a number of office automation software to assist me in my work.
From time to time I have participated in professional committees such as the Board of the Pancyprian Mechanical Contractors Association, a committee for the preparation of public contracts with the Civil Works Department and Member of the General Council of ETEK.
